Daywise Itinerary
Arrival in Port Blair
Head out into the sunshine in Port Blair after you've checked in at your hotel.
What better way to begin your holiday in the Andaman Islands than out at Corbyn Cove Beach, a mere 3 kilometers away?Don't forget to pack that book if you're ready for that tan and the hammock. Everything from jet skis to lounge chairs is available on rent here on this coconut-palm lined beach. A motorboat could take you over to Snake Island for some interesting rock faces and lovely corals and marine life. The World War II Japanese bunkers close by are worth a visit as well.
Make your way to cellular jail here in Port Blair later in the afternoon. Called the 'kala pani', many a movie has been made here to portray India's freedom fighters kept in captivity here. Now a well-kept tourist spot, the museum has exhibits from the life of prisoners as well. Dramatically narrated, complete with lights at night, the sound and light show at the cellular jail pays tribute to these prisoners every day.
Explore the Natural Coral Reefs Museum - Ross Island
Take the ferry from the Andaman Water Sports Complex to North Bay. With some of the island's most beautiful coral reefs, look out for exquisite species of marine life when you decide to head out snorkelling. From underwater walking to deep sea diving, there's much to be done here in this coral reef paradise. Don't miss the ride out on a glass bottom boat for corals. If you are not keen on snorkelling, then we suggest you take the Sea Walk here. A breathable helmet with a glass visor is how you get to walk on the sea bed at a depth of 6-7 metres. An expert guide will accompany you for fascinating scenes of marine life under the sea.
The erstwhile capital of the Andamans, Ross Island is a living museum. Abandoned after an earthquake in 1941, remnants of colonial heritage like official residences and churches still stand today. The Japanese managed to control this island for a short time and built bunkers and tunnels that still remain. Look out for the wild deer here near the forest areas.
Visit Radhanagar Beach in Havelock Island
Havelock Island is probably one of the Andaman's finest with over seven serene beaches and practically no concrete buildings. Radhanagar beach here has actually been named one of the world's top 100 beautiful beaches by the TIME Magazine. Fairly popular for diving and snorkelling experiences,Radhanagar is a marine explorer's paradise. Fine grain and beautiful white sand, Radhanagar beach also has a gentle gradient with tropical forests on the fringes of the beach. Spend your time watching the day get longer, with one of the most spectacular sunsets you'll probably ever get to see.
Explore Neil Island
After starting your day with a good breakfast at the hotel, the representatives will escort you to the boat that will take you to Neil.
Neil Island is home to many undiscovered Coral Reefs and a well maintained biodiversity sight. Given the hustle in Havelock, Neil is absolutely calm and composed. Once you're in there, you'll be escorted to your hotel/resort before you embark on your tour around Neil. There are so many locations to discover on this Island.
When it comes to beaches no place in Andaman disappoints. Whether it's the white sand beach in Laxmanpur, a perfect place to take brilliant sunset photography and shell hunting or the culture rich beach in Bharatpur to finally ending the day at Howrah beach, one of the most relaxing places in Neil.
After a full day of sun soaking it's only fair to give your body enough rest before you start a new route.
