  • Day 1

    Pick up from Chandigarh - Drive to Jibhi

    Drive out of Chandigarh, past thick pine and deodars after breakfast. Fascinating deciduous forests of spectacular green interspersed with quaint little villages by the Tirthan river make this valley one of Himachal's favourite weekend getaways. Stunning backdrops and superb camping, trekking and fishing opportunities make Tirthan valley the destination of choice. The gateway to the Great Himalayan National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Tirthan valley is the ideal base for some incredible adventure tourism and angling.     Jibhi Waterfall Hike - Angling

    Hike to Jibhi waterfallls or perfect the art of angling here in Tirthan Valley. A short walk up Jibhi river takes you up to some splendid casting points. Take a dip in the rivers? pristine waters here before heading on for some peaceful trout fishing. Whether a hobby, general pastime, entertainment or sport, there?s always something about angling that keeps you coming back for more.     Drive to Jalori Pass - Hike to Seraulsar Lake or Raghupur Fort

    A short drive after breakfast would take you to the scenic pass that connects Tirthan valley to Rampur and Kinnaur Valley, Jalori pass. Mythical lakes and picturesque mountain passes make this the perfect hike on your weekend getaway here in Tirthan valley.Walk over from Jalori Pass to the legendary Sareulsar Lake surrounded by tall trees where not a single leaf ever floats on its surface. Local lore has it that birds pick up every leaf that ever falls on the Sareulsar. Hike over to Raghupur Fort, a good 3 kilometresfrom Jalori Pass through majestic oak and rhododendron forests. At 3540 metres above mean sea level, very little remains of the original structure beyond portions of its outer walls, but the fort does have spectacular views all around. Stop over for a picnic lunch on your hike before you head back to Jibhi.

    Drop to Chandigarh

    Head back to Chandigarh for your journey home, refreshed and rejuvinated after your stay in the mountains.
